2024 Information
The Story County Alliance for Philanthropy is preparing for the 19th annual Philanthropy Day celebration in Story County to recognize those among us who are doing great things for our communities.
We invite you to nominate a donor or volunteer for one or more of the four Philanthropy Day Awards. We hope hope the infectious spirit of our Philanthropy Day Award recipients will inspire even more people to follow their example.
Nominations for 2024 are being sought in the categories listed below.
The process is easy! Simply submit an Intent to Nominate Form by Friday, May 31, 2024.
If an individual or business is nominated more than once, all the nominators will be asked to work together to submit a shared Full Nomination Form. You will be contacted at a later date to complete the Full Nomination Form, which is due by Friday, June 28, 2024.
An awards panel of community leaders throughout Story County will evaluate the submitted nominations. The 2024 awards will be presented at a luncheon on November 14, 2024 at the Gateway Hotel & Conference Center in Ames. More information about the luncheon will be forthcoming.

- Outstanding Corporate/Foundation Philanthropist - To qualify for this award, a corporation or foundation must demonstrate outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community involvement. Nominees will be recognized for philanthropic efforts benefiting Story County
- Outstanding Philanthropist - To qualify for this award, an individual, couple, family or group must demonstrate outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community affairs. Nominees will be recognized for philanthropic efforts benefiting Story County.
- Outstanding Volunteer - To qualify for this award, an individual, couple, family or group must demonstrate leadership and organizational ability and success in volunteering of their time and talents. Nominees will be recognized for their efforts benefiting Story County.
- Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy - To qualify for this award, an individual under 25 or group with members age 25 or younger must demonstrate outstanding commitment of time, talent and resources to raise financial support for a non-profit organization, cause or project and show evidence of leadership and/or mentoring of other youth. Nominees will be recognized for philanthropic efforts benefiting Story County.
