The Story County Alliance for Philanthropy is preparing for the 18th annual Philanthropy Day celebration in Story County to recognize those among us who are doing great things for our communities.
We invite you to nominate a donor or volunteer for one or more of the five Philanthropy Day Awards. We hope hope the infectious spirit of our Philanthropy Day Award recipients will inspire even more people to follow their example.
Nominations for 2023 are being sought in the categories listed below.
The process is easy! Simply submit an Intent to Nominate Form by Friday, June 16, 2023.

If an individual or business is nominated more than once, all the nominators will be asked to work together to submit a shared Full Nomination Form. You will be contacted at a later date to complete the Full Nomination Form, which is due by Friday, July 28, 2023.

An awards panel of community leaders throughout Story County will evaluate the submitted nominations. The 2023 awards will be presented at a luncheon on November 16, 2023 at the Gateway Hotel & Conference Center in Ames. More information about the luncheon will be forthcoming.

- Outstanding Corporate/Foundation Philanthropist - The recipient of this award is a business or corporate foundation that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community involvement in Story County.
- Outstanding Philanthropist - The recipient of this award is an individual, couple or family that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community affairs in Story County.
- Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser - The recipient of this award is an individual, couple or family that demonstrates leadership and organizational ability and success in recruiting and motivating others to give philanthropically in Story County.
- Outstanding Group Philanthropist - The recipient of this award is a group that demonstrates exceptional skills in coordinating and motivating volunteers for one or more major fundraising projects for the benefit of a charitable institution or cause in Story County.
- Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (Individual or Group) - The recipient of this award is an individual under 25 or group with members age 25 or younger that demonstrates outstanding commitment of time, talent and resources to raise financial support for a non-profit organization, cause or project and show evidence of leadership and/or mentoring of other youth in Story County.
